Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, birth date, or other term entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Floyd County Warrant Records does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain a message sent to us when needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive limited technical information when a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers aggregate that information. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may alter how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
We do not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Floyd County warrants or personal warrant records. The site describes MyCase, the Floyd County Clerk, Circuit and Superior Courts, and Sheriff or jail routes. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing practices govern information submitted to them. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Floyd County Sheriff, Indiana courts, MyCase, legal-aid resources, or commercial search providers. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before submitting personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices protect information in our control. No internet system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. We will remove such information when a valid request identifies it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Indiana privacy and consumer-protection law may provide rights over personal data. The Indiana Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3, and Indiana court Access Rules govern access to government and court records; they do not convert this private site into a public agency. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. A new version becomes available here with its updated effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
